(review done by Laura, David can't cook for beans!) I used this skillet to fry some green tomatoes....best pan I have ever had for this. Even heat, easy to regulate, and easy to clean up. I love the way the lid fastens on for storage. I recommend it very highly.

We really enjoy cooking in this skillet. Nothing ever sticks to it and it is very easy to clean. We do not put it in the dishwasher though. We've ruined too many pans that way! It is very large and can hold enough food for the whole family. Great product.

We purchased this skillet to take with us on an extended camping trip with our pop-up camper. We had an electricity hook-up and prepared everything from pancakes to cooking chicken and making pasta dinners. The skillet provided very even cooking and was easy to clean afterwards because of its durable non-stick surface. The pour spout in one corner combined with the latch down clips on the glass top made it very easy to drain off fat when heating ground beef and frying bacon too. Now that we are back home it continues to be frequently used. It is one of the best items we have purchased in a long time.

This is a sharp looking skillet which is also very functional with features that I might not have thought to look for: The locking lid, the double-duty pour spout which serves as a steam vent, easy to clean non-stick interior, the beautiful contemporary design, capability of immersing it for cleaning, the see-through tempered glass lid, the sturdiness...what else is there to say? I love it! Heats up quickly, and the rectangular design is ideal. Hamilton Beach products are tops.

The reason I selected this particular skillet was because of the drainage lip, and lockable lid. It was more pricey than the others, but since I use a skillet almost daily, I figured I would splurge and get a really good one.
When I received it, I was wiping the temperature control, and the face with the degrees came off. I thought it was odd that the one I received was black faced, but the one on the box was silver, and stainless steel looking. The picture on the Amazon site makes it difficult to see the control.I called Amazon to return it for another. I received the skillet with the same black faced temperature control. The rest of the skillet is really very, very nice. It's just the temperature control thats really, really cheapo! I'm really surprised that this price of skillet has that cheap of a control. I've bought other skillets that were cheaper, but had a much better control than this. (Presto, for example) So, if you purchase this skillet, please beware that the face on the control is plastic coated paper. And use caution when cleaning the control!
